Your website may not show up in search engines for a few reasons.
1. Your site may be too newWhen you search for your website on Search engines, they return the pages already contained in their database. A company like Google uses mathematical algorithms (spider bots) to look for web pages, but those bots only visit a site every so often. When the bot visits the site, that information is stored on Google server that then points to your web site. The bots must visit millions of websites, eventually your new website will be found and included in the Search engine.
2. The website contains a lot of imagesBots are excellent at identifying text, if your site is comprised mostly of images, the bot will find it difficult to index your website. Ensure to include relevant text throughout your website.
3. Not enough websites link back to your website A link is like a vote. An important factor to Search engines ranking depends on the number and quality of other websites that link back to your website. How do you get these links? Ask the site owner or Webmaster. Often they’ll want a return link to their site. Keep in mind it’s the quality, rather than the quantity of these links that matter most.
4. Include relevant copy on your web pageOne of the most important factors to good Search engine ranking is good and relevant content. You must spend some time carefully planning what text and keywords you want to be found by. The order and placement of these words influences how your website ranks.
